Boat illegals up under Labour.

That is factually wrong. Most boat people who are assessed are allowed to stay because they have valid claims of persecution.

That is factually wrong. Most boat people who are assessed, are allowed to stay, because they have good complicit, taxpayer funded, legal support, they are versed in exactly what to claim their situation was, and the uk government's lawyers, cannot prove otherwise. Why might you suppose that 99% of them, are fit young males?

"93% of people arriving in small boats from 2018 to March 2024 claimed asylum; of those who had received a decision by 31 March 2024, around three quarters were successful."

Seeing how successive governments have allowed the population to increase by millions, I'm guessing it's not a rigorous process. With the type of people administering such a process, must be plenty of rubber-stamping.

They are either:
Vessels illegally passaging to the U.K. without authority = turn back

Or

Vessels in distress needing assistance in French waters. = take back
Is there a 3rd scenario?
completely wrong

we have already established that pushbacks are illegal....it says so in the link you provided

Any vessel that is in the vicinity of a boat in distress has a duty to attend.........and a rubber dinghy overloaded with people is in distress

Also you have still avoided answering why Priti Patel tried introducing legislation that prevented border force from prosecution

You can carry on being wrong if you want, your choice

f your point were true France would also have the same acceptance rate.
not true, its clearly easier to get to france than the UK, so it makes sense they have a higher refusal rate, although its not massively different as acceptance rates for France in 2023 were 52% and they took more asylum claims in 2023 (167,432)
