Border on the Island of Ireland

Why would an illegal immigrant hang to the botton of a bus driving through Ireland when he could just sit on the bus.

He's done the hard bit getting from France to Ireland. I don't get it. Do you?

Doesn't matter what I want, or what you want. Its what we have and will continue to have, a common travel area between Ireland and the UK for Irish citizens and UK citizens, and that my thick friend is written into law.

You can only have that if there is a border across Ireland.

Or the EU border is in the Irish sea chich means no CTA.

Or do you want free movement of people from the EU to the UK?

This whole thread may as well be in the house of commons with all the bickering! Little wonder it has been going on for three years is it.

There is a border across Ireland, it's been there since 1921 I believe. It's a line on a map, no more, no less.

There won't be a border along the Irish sea, and the position of the border, wherever it is on the map has no bearing on the CTA, how can it?

Or do you want free movement of people from the EU to the UK?

No I don't want freedom of movement of people from the EU, except for Irish citizens, a freedom they've enjoyed since the 20's, and will continue to enjoy in the future as agreed by the Irish Govt, the UK Govt and the EU, as confirmed by those parties just a few months ago.
