Boris has already got a new job!!!

Not really sure what that means.

I've found his act tedious, in writing and in person, since the first time I came across him on HIGNFY, 25 years ago. Long before he got into politics.
Shows you how bad Starmer was at pmqs in laying a glove on him.

Boris has a fanbase of the debased, he will grift them for every penny they have just like Trump.
I understand your concerns, your not the only one re your leader.

I like the logic - Tory are ****e and we have 13 years of their time in power but but labour will be worse because they have been in power for the last 13 years.

It's time for PR and STV.

Starmer is a big concern for the left, he is relying on the tories to damage themselves, like Bliar did in 97, while being ultra cautious in his own policy development. Bliar just promised to follow the tory government's economic policies and used human rights the eu and public sector investment to distinguish himself from the right. The difficulty for Starmer is that he has to distinguish labour from everything the tories have done, and come out with really different and distinctive policies. He could move further left like Corbin (won't happen) or do a deal with the libdems on PR (which he says wont happen). So he will end up with a small or no overall majority as people turn green or lib dem or vote reform. Corbin's success in 2017 shows that a significant section public including the red wall, are ready for more radical policies that show clear blue water from the tories last 13 years in office.

Blup

I have been victimised by my two worst enemies: Harriet Harman and facts

15th June 2023

HARRIET Harman and objective truth have had it in for me for years, and now they have wickedly conspired to accuse me of things I definitely have done.

One is the unattractive chair of the privileges committee who hates my very existence. The other is a set of indisputable facts about reality which have been a hindrance to me since birth. And now their kangaroo court has delivered its laughable verdict on me, a helpless innocent.

It should come as no surprise. ‘Harriet Harperson’ has long been jealous of my wit, universal popularity and athletic physique. And my playful habit of ignoring facts is a nuisance to egghead boffins who get hung up on that sort of thing.

Like two envious, runtish oppidans plotting against their Eton College superiors, they have dashed off a worthless, peer-reviewed report after a cursory one-year investigation, the findings of which are patently tripe, *******s and flim-flam.

Could I, the brave Ulysses who triumphantly guided this fearful nation through the rocks of Brexit and Covid, really intentionally lie to parliament? According to the facts of my own deranged reality, I could never do such a thing, therefore I didn’t.
Instead, you will have to believe my own account: I was acting in the best interests of the nation, outsmarting the coronavirus with my Machiavellian genius by doing what it least expected: getting ****faced in close proximity to other people.
And that, not the feverish imaginings of Harpie Harman or boring old facts, is the only explanation that makes any sense.

They really are all at sea, the Tories win elections because they're not labour and Starmer can't go blue Tory because Blair f*cked that approach up with his 'tough on crime tough on the causes of crime' and presiding over immigration figures unprecedented in recent history.
Personally I think all political parties have had their day given they follow the same mantra that comes from Global pressures that dictate how they govern.

I would disagree. I think Starmer just needs to promise a competent, no drama alternative to the Tories. The country is so sick of them. Match the spending plans, so as not to scare the horses. Then do more gradually when in office. If he was like Blair, but without the wars and the Gordon Brown circus, I would be happy.

All this baloney

Tis how politics has always worked in the UK

Thatcher / major in power for years

Than Blair / brown for years

Than the recent Tory tenure

They all get duffed off out of it eventually a period in opposition does em good imo

All this fuss over what has always been the case

Than you get some fruit cakes in here many of whom were corbyns fair weather freinds :ROFLMAO: Banging on about how they have been horrified:ROFLMAO:

Jeez us wept what a bunch mamby pamby fruit cakes

Than there are those spewing there bile and hatred about the way millions voted

At least we'll get the truth.
The guy was my MP, as an MP, I couldn't fault him. He seemed to be pretty proactive when it came to dealing with complaints by local resident associations. Credit where credit is due. Unfortunately as PM he suffered from Trump syndrome, namely make up lies and attack anyone that dares to criticise you.

From memory, I was pretty happy with my local government. I was very happy with Boris, but I am guessing that whoever becomes my GP will carry on on a similar vein.

I reckon you're right, for a big lump of the population. He seems like a decent bloke, ditto his current chancellor. He'll have to distance himself from Khan for some seats around London to warm to him, though.

In my const Labour are nowhere, so the libdems will get a load more votes. Pity they're such a shower. All they seem to care about are potholes. To give them their due, two I reported on the bespoke site, were mended in a week.

Tories have a TEN YEAR plan to get the current asylum seekers processed.
Dumb.
To get votes, Spend money on it and be seen to be sending many as possible back, this year.
If they can't deal with that, what hope for the economy?
