Tony Blair opened the floodgates to immigration from Eastern Europe and beyond.
Under EU law it was illegal to restrict the right of entry of to EU citizens, regardless of their character or criminal record.
Brexit was supposed to rectify this abuse of UK sovereignty.

Yeah labour caused the initial problem. I remember voting for TB and thinking he’d changed things.

Quite topical at the moment. Ben Wallace has long been seen as favourite for this position, but France, Germany and a majority of EU countries are aiming to block the appointment as the UK are no longer in the EU. Poland and Netherlands are breakaway countries who would back Ben Wallace.
