Breastfeeding in public

Im all for breastfeeding in the right place and time though some mothers think it's their god given right to pull out their tit in your face say in a restaurant while you are eating and that should not be allowed.
I would say that the right time is when the baby needs feeding and the right place is wherever the mother is at the time. If some lady in a restaurant wanted to "pull out her tit" in a restaurant or anywhere else it wouldn't bother me.

when you are eating it put's you off your meal

What, even if it's done discreetly? And you can't actually see what she's doing without straining your neck to see?

We used to ask for a table in the corner away from everyone and then if my babies needed feeding they'd get fed in peace and quiet

No of course not that's ok as you are being discreet, but some think it's their right and don't care about others.

Kendor ... when you have given up your garden to the needy, you'll soon get used to it all ... :D :D :D

Does anyone actually find it directly offensive? I mean seriously, I've NEVER witnessed some visibly taking offence when a woman starts breastfeeding.

People generally seem to view boobs in different ways depending on the situation. No-one has ever nudged me and said "phwoar, check THOSE out!" when a woman is breastfeeding in public. So, I'm pretty certain that if anyone DOES find it arousing they keep it to themselves.

I haven't got a problem with it, and in my experience nursing mothers don't generally pull both out and start slapping them together and yelling "look at my udders!"... no, they do it discreetly and subtly. The baby needs feeding, so they pop open their nursing bra and present to the infant. If you actually manage to see something you find offensive rather than just being offended on principle, then you are probably looking far too closely!!!

Public breastfeeding is just as natural as public urination for men. The only reason public urination is frowned upon is because it makes the place smell bad. I've never ever heard someone say "It's disgusting because you might see someone's willy!" or "there's nowhere to wash your hands afterwards".

I do wash my hands after having a wee, but I do not know why. Wee does not come out of the sides, and I am old enough not to wee on my hands.
