Listening to the radio (in the small hours) in the week, there was a report that Macron was putting Barnier back in his box a little, instructing him to "forget technicalities", and get a trade deal sorted.
Big Balls Barnier is getting his wings clipped?

And then, this on the BBC.
I saw this on the BBC and thought you should see it:

Tony Blair says EU could be flexible over movement - http://www.bbc.co.uk/news/uk-politics-40615119

Barnier's "non-negotiables" are becoming more negotiable........

Richard Tice has a different view (bottom of your linked article) than that of Blair.

Good embellishment there Brig. I'm sure Barnier took note but I doubt he will be back in any box anytime soon.

You will recall that Barnier is the chief negotiator, following instructions given to him following agreement by the representatives of the 27. Unwinding an agreement by 27 nations is even harder than getting one to change its mind.

No doubt he receives opinions and advice from numerous people all the time.

Wishful thinking by the Quitters does not count for much.

Here you are, refresh your memory

Tony Blair says ....

""We know our currency is down significantly, that's a prediction by the international markets as to our future prosperity. We know businesses are already moving jobs out of the country.

"We know last year we were the fastest-growing economy in the G7. We're now the slowest. I think we now know there isn't £350m a week extra for the National Health Service - actually, in the short and medium term, there's less money."

Let joy be unconfined :(

perhaps it was this:

Ignorant Judy/Roger thinks (wrongly) that EU27 has demanded a figure, and thinks (wrongly) that they have increased the figure.

I don't know where ignorant Judy/Roger picks up this nonsense (perhaps he invents it himself) but as he cannot justify or substantiate his incorrect belief, and doesn't even care that he is talking nonsense, there is no scope for a sensible discussion.

I can understand how poor Juncker felt, swimming in a sea of fantastic nonsense from the Brexiteers at Theresa's dinner.

or Theresa's rumour mill.

"An EU source has told the BBC that officials in Brussels will not enter into a discussion about potential figures for a final bill"

"Mr Barnier said there was no agreed figure but the UK and EU had entered into "mutual commitments" which must be honoured. "There is no Brexit bill. The final settlement is all about settling the accounts.""

As you did not disagree with the quote that you posted, you agree with it?
"There is no Brexit bill."
