And is 60k meant to impress

I was quite impressed :D , but no I am simply trying to add some relevant info to the original post.
I don't really know what the workaround for c.g.t was as it went through my financial adviser but I know I certainly didn't get hit for 40% off the 5 year plans.

It is not your financial advisors job to charge you CGT it is yours to declare profit on your tax return. An then be taxed on it. There is only so much that can go into an ISA if you have sold everything an the 60k is not all profit you prob put close on twenty K in

Just received the forms and I have already hit the first stumbling block!!

It says I need to have s/nvq level 3 and some other city and guilds stuff, which I havent got. Thats the end of that then

how old are you?

apply to be an apprentice or SFL engineer. you will get to do loads of training and drink loads of beer whilst still getting a ok wage. initially better if you start as SFL but apprentices get bumped up the scales quicker when on the patch.

I was also told by them that although i was corgi reg i couldn't apply as i didn't have an nvq. After chatting to the bg blokes at the merchants who have 8-10 jobs a day to do where i only usually have im glad they turned me down! :D

You would think that being Corgi reg. would outweigh an NVQ.

I got a flyer through the door 2 weeks ago saying they were looking for engineers in the area. Filled out the online form, and a week later got a call to go for an interview, which is next Tuesday

Does not having an nvq really mean I wont get the job? What about the older guys, who were about when the nvq wasnt about? Fell really gutted now

Cant afford to be an apprentice again, getting married in 4 months

Sorry guys is this post regarding a permanenet (ie PAYE type) job, or non-permanent eg subcontracted position?
