I have a chart for the carbon footprint of tomatoes by the Ccalc (University of Manchester). Of the three listed, the highest carbon footprint is for UK tomatoes, due to the energy from greenhouses. The second is for Netherlands (bit hotter country, less energy needed to grow them). The lowest is for Spain, as they can largely grow them with natural conditions, owing to the warmer climate.Huh?
Send it by container is a minor factor in comparison in terms of carbon footprint.
