Haver a wee look at video in link this is wht they are pushing unvented courses and servicing of the things!!!!
By the way I have been to unvented jobs where someone has jammed open motorised valve as a temporary measure as motor faulty.
Tell me how you would check and service an unvented unit then as you know what you are doing?

This is just more melodrama.
I don't intend digging a hole in a field, bypassing the boiler thermostat, and blocking the outlet from the T&P relief valve, but thanks for warning against doing that. Nor will I jam open a motorised valve, although that wouldn't be dangerous unless the T&P relief valve is stuck/faulty/blocked, but thanks for advising against that. I've already said that I'll be carrying out the routine service checks, as stipulated by the manufacturer, but thanks for your encouragement to do that.
I understand your reasons for discouraging people from messing with what they don't understand, but I don't respect the childish content of the posts and the superior attitude in this topic. Two exceptions are Goldspoon, who seems very courteous, and doitall, who at least suggested a cheaper way of taking the G3 course.
One of you even said that they didn't think it was the cylinder - how incompetent is that?
As a result of my actions, the dripping has now stopped. Thank you to everyone who took the time to tell me what the problem was. That's nobody, by the way.
