Changes to the Highway Code forthcoming.

I never read it or even skimmed through it. It's just a load of text, I may as well just read the highway code.

I just thought it would be useful to just link us to the proposed changes. There's plumbers here on £150/ hour, and that will cost £75 to read.

Are you deliberately being obtuse?

It says it clear and simple, it explains the reasoning for the changes, the aim of the changes then goes into specifics with every change on the same page.
As for the plumbers, well they cannot read in the first place, they also drive a transit or similar and they never keep to the highway code so it is of course of no interest to them :)

Yes along with bicycles, quads, horses, tractors and trucks. Oh and for JohnD the reason why motor cyclists have more accidents is because they only have two wheels and a large proportion of the riders are idiots on the roads.

That is true of some of them, but by no means all. Many of the best, safest and alert drivers on the road are motorcyclists or ex-motorcyclists. Nothing teaches you road skill better or faster than riding on two wheels, you either learn defensive riding quickly or you end up in hospital or very dead. Remember you are very prone and exposed, wrapped around your vehicle, much more than you would be inside a steel box. I learn my skills initially on motorcycles, before moving to four, then much later buying a powerful bike a decade ago for fun. I always took my riding and driving very seriously and spent much of my working life driving, hence covered high mileages around the UK and EU. 55 years on the road and not a single claim or accident.
