How can you be sure? To my limited knowledge, science has yet to accept/prove/explain the existence of telepathy.
Regardless of that (a point on which we may squabble to no avail), religions seem to want to define their "god" in wholly unhelpful and restrictive ways. I have a definition of what is my "god", but it sure don't include some mateyboy sitting on a throne, nor a load of tedious pr icks passing judgement on me, telling me to blow myself up, or offering my son for an al sex.

How does that work then? How does this fit in with scientific empirical proof whereas the existence of god doesn't. And therein lies the problem - neither can be explained nor proved, and yet people have experiences of them.

to believe there is no god or supreme power behind creation, is like to say the iffle tower came about by pure chance and coincidence by itself...and what are the odds of that....really?

But one could quite easily open up an analogous argument regarding "communicating" with a "god".just think of the brain as something that can transmit and receive. it may need a little help with this

I think someone is missing the point ( cornish man), everyone belives in heaven or hell right.....even athiests
so why would god make the earthly lives so perfect, and then put us in heaven, and there would be no need for hell, as we would all be perfect....life is a test of character.
by the way, we muslims do not give any money to our priests, we are told to help the needy and give to the wayfarer.
I would not even contemplate thinking like an athiest....as they seem to think they know everything....if they do know everything how come an athiest, can never never provide concrete proof of thier thoery, that god does not exist.
but then isnt athiesm brainwashing also as they want people to believe thier is no god...with no solid evidence at all...and consiquently want everyone to live carefree, of life after death....
i'd rather be prepared for heaven than be prepared for nothing and end up in hell....its good practice any way.
even science has said that intelligent design has a creator, and the universe is the most intelligent design with all it has inside it.
