the catholic church has a disproportionately high number
of sexually abusive members due to its uniquely screwed
up approach to sex and celibacy.
When SOME of said members (ahem) find the natural sexual urge
to strong to ignore they take out their frustration on the weak and vulnerable
KIDS
then the c u next Tuesdays in charge cover it up
hence thousands of f*&%$ed up kids and now adults

Agree, but would just like to add the 'forbidden fruit' part of the debate we have missed. Added into everything you have said there is a pre-existing obsession with forbidding sex and sodomy that not doubt cause the priests to rebel in this way.
