How anyone can say it's about being offended is beyond me. It also shows how little you understand by objecting to this kind of harassment, even cat-calling be under a hate crime. It's about being intimidated. Trust me, there is not a lot of women who want to be cat-called while walking in the street.
Ok, but don't the articles report actual offences?
If I don't understand (I might have gone too far in the opposite direction to counteract your seemingly draconian solutions) then what is your solution?

MY draconian solutions? Last time I looked, I didn't work as a cop, nor make up laws. I just offered an opinion that differed to your own.
The articles show that it's not about 'being offended' as you kept saying. It's about intimidation. Nobody should feel intimidated so often, surely?
I don't think your men walking at their feet or women wearing burkas is a realistic comment, no matter how you plead. It was sarcastic though! How about people just treat each other with a bit of respect? There is no need to cat-call or make lewd comments to some lady walking past really is there? I don't think I've ever heard of some woman being so impressed by those types of comments that she drops her knickers on the path, have you? Men really need to learn imo that this isn't acceptable, one way or another.
Yes, we should ban women doing the opposite but I wasn't aware than women made men feel intimidated from a young age. Did you ever feel that way? Were you cat-called and had lots of lewd, unwanted comments from strange women on the street? I am truly sorry if you were.

However, I think you've missed my point.
I didn't mean women "intimidating men" in the same manner but should using their sexuality for gain be viewed as a hate crime toward men and misandry and be illegal? What about prostitution? What better example is there of taking advantage of men?
Perhaps the Chief Constable in the clip is a misandrist.
Women (in the article) complaining about men looking at their breasts is ludicrous. Apart from the fact that that is what they are for, if they don't like it, don't show them. This of course is greeted with the retort that women should be allowed to wear what they want.
Why do women wear make up and high heels to work if they want no attention? What are make up and high heels for?

I'm guessing that by changing the goalposts you've never felt intimidated by strange women then on the street, enough for it to be labelled as a hate crime. Why now are you talking about women who use their sexuality to gain? Whatever is that? Do they frighten men into getting what they want through being a woman and sexual harrassment? Please tell me any incidents that occurs to thousands, if not millions of men where unknown, strange women have intimidated them sexually from a young age in order to gain.. I'd really like to know because THAT is what we were talking about.

Please just look at your views towards women, they are not reasonable nor logical. I cannot discuss that can I? In order to have a reasonable discussion, it needs to be with someone with reason.
You've made sweeping statements, you also seem to think women are to blame for a lot of things that they are not. I've noticed this before about you, you come over as not actually liking women and have a very old fashioned view of them. It is you who is somewhat brainwashed. They are some siren to tempt men into doing stupid things, not giving men any intelligence or ability to make up their own mind nor any responsibility for their actions. "she made me do it".

I missed the gist of this thread.. are we trying to argue that when somebody who hits a person because they hate them (the individual) it should be a hate crime and therefore an aggravated offence? Doesn't make any sense to me. Hate crime is hitting someone because you hate a characteristic about them, not because you hate them as an individual.
e.g.
I'm hitting bob because he's black and I hate black people - hate crime
I'm hitting bob because I hate bob and he happens to be black - not hate crime.
e.g.
I'm hitting bob because he's black and I hate black people - hate crime
I'm hitting bob because I hate bob and he happens to be black - not hate crime.
It seems to be acceptable in the Labour party under its current far left leadership.
I don't know about the state of French jails, but he may not have to go to "classes" to learn about sexual violence.......
