Wolves v Liverpool- 1975/76. Last game of season. Wolves had to win to stay up and Liverpool had to draw to win league title.
(Kevin Keegan had dark hair then).

Pay on the door- as it was everywhere then.
Night game .

Absolutely manic at the gates- 'cry came out from turnstiles' ' ground full'- and the wolves turnstile guys tried to close the gate.
Liverpool 'fans' steamrollered it- and burst into the ground--they were even climbing up the walls on knotted scarves to get in.
It was horrible - the place was packed .
Kids were crying and women were afraid and also crying.

Spot the link !!.

Boris Johnson is pretty quiet about things now (lookup his views in the SUN). (for obvious reasons).
Nobody in Liverpool buys the Sun newspaper anymore -- .
Go figure !!

Pay on the door?.....strange considering it was a sell out and ticket game only, but you know best

I was at the wolves game 'billy la' !!.
That was the game i was referring to.

Away fans where ticket only...about 3000 QPR fans turned up too because they thought they would have the league won there......bit of advice, do some research before you try and argue with someone, makes you look less of tosser if you do.

Dont know about the game Liverpool played at Wolves but all the big games in the 70s/80s was manic as I was at elland road quite a bit ....but oddly enough I remember going to Wolves in mid 70,s with the Leeds supporters and there was some demolition going on at the side of the ground and we was hammered with bricks from the demolition by hundreds, yes hundreds of the local scumbags and there was alot of kids crying...tbh honest dont remember any women being there, and quite a few guys off our coach missed the game to get stitches.
As for that rag you are talking about....FFS I did not think anybody on here would readit never mind lookup his views...I really thought that folk who read that rag could not have the brains to use a pc or put a sentence together but he-ho there you go....
As for the reason nobody in Liverpool buys that rag I think you really need to know why they wont buy especially now that it has been in the news for the last week for telling lies.
I think you need to educate yourself on matters before posting comments.

Boris Johnson is a educated idiot......why do you think he is called Boris the buffoon.......a pure fool in motion , so it would take another fool to digest anything he says.

Hillsborough- Heysel . A prize for anyone who spots the link !!.

They both begin with H

Whats the prize for spotting the ******?

No prize-
you got the prize when you were placed in Cheshire -ex Merseysidel.

Would you like some lessons in Geography too...seeing as sport is not your best subject?

Seeing as you hide where you actually are- I'd take a guess at 'over the water' .
Cheshire ? haha.

There was a serious crush in 1981 on the Leppings Lane terrace in which 38 people were injured. The police moved supporters out, they told the club's then chairman, Bert McGee, to avoid "a real chance of fatalities". Shockingly, the panel found in the minutes of a post-match meeting, McGee replied: "B*llocks – no one would have been killed."

Seems Joe isn't the only one talking b*llocks...

"By 5.45pm it was clear that Molineux was already full for the 7.30pm kick off. The Liverpool fans smashed the gates open at the South Bank End and a few hundred fans gained entry, but the stewards and Police soon stopped the flow of people into the ground and the queue stopped moving.

By 6.45pm we gave up hope of getting in and set off for home. There were still dozens of coaches arriving from Liverpool. There was no way any of those fans would have got in, unless they had Stand seat tickets. This was of course a time when the vast majority of the capacity of most grounds consisted of pay on the day terracing. The official attendance was 48,900, but there must have been at least 10,000 locked out that night. So we had to settle for listening to the game on the car radio on the way home."

What Boris said- is scousers THRIVE on a disaster. Thats a fact- Mr Know nothing .
That's what got him into trouble . The scousers fed off it for ages and ages..
Regarding the police -- I am not a fan of the police for certain reasons--however- It's only a few bad apples who spoil the bunch .
Lots of policemen and women are normal decent peole and they do a ok job.
They are trained to follow orders though - and if they dont- they are 'gone'.
They really have a lot to put up with and they do their best .
Ever wondered why Liverpool insurance premiums are amongst the highest in the UK ???.

You know nothing at all Mr know nothing- so unless you have some 'FACTS' -- Button it and go bug someone else .

Thank you very much for that info.
I will always remember that game --because I travelled 100 miles to drive there in my vauxhall viva HB,. My clutch cable broke on entering wolverhampton--and I found a car parts shop and got one. I fitted new cable down a back street and got shirt up to the eyeballs- and was late at the game . I was near fromnt of the line when they announced ground was full and tried to close the sliding door across the turnstiles- but- I was pushed through and had to climb over the turnstile and into the ground to escape the crush . Bonus was i didnt pay .
Once in it was very bad and scousers were really hammering away to get in and many did .
Liverpool won by the way.

Not abusive at all--just stating facts. Written in the press facts and on ITN news.

Regarding you meeting me- I wouldn't recommend it at all- unless you want to be drinking soup from a straw for a few months .Barnsey chops would be off your menu for even longer (unless you liquify them).
Not wise to threaten people you dont know or have not seen buddy.
