The stupidity of the comments you have made speaks volumes. There was every need for me to insult you. You are an idiot.

sooey, If my daughter had been killed , simply because some policemen opened a gate into a football ground, and a few?? thousand fans poured in, I'd tend to blame the few?? thousand fans who poured into the ground. Look at the facts. The police outside, had no idea what was happening in the ground. The fans who poured through the open gate, had no idea what was happening.
Surely, these same fans must have realised something was amiss when people started passing fans over their heads to the stand above? But still they poured in. Such is the lure of football (and other major sports events.)

There's absolutely no need for you to insult me.
This is a matter for the families, and the families alone, and as such, I will bow out of this thread, making no further comments.

I'll tell you now, I want to se every bstrd wo was culpable for that tragedy and the cover up nailed to the floor. That's me and I wasn't even there that day, and I lost no family or friends that day.

Enough said. You were not even there, but seek revenge , for some imagined slight against you.

Course they knew what was happening on the inside of the ground you idiot. They where watching everything on cctv. How stupid are you to come out with a comment like that?

I'm staggered by the sheer stupidity of some of the people commenting on this thread.
There is no point trying to have a reasonable argument with such bigoted ignorance.
Let them think what they want to, because they will believe what they want to no matter what comes out.
I'm out.

The world is not black and white, it's never as simple as "it's all the pigs fault", that's "sheer stupidity".

Pretty much everything you type includes some insult, so just get off then if you can't discuss anything like an adult.

I'm in again, just briefly.

aronsearle, you have no experience of going to any football matches, let alone those before all seater stadia were introduced. That hasn't stopped you trolling this thread from the start with your irrelevant comments.
There are many causes for the Hillsborough disaster, they have all been identified.
A last thought for the idiots who think they know better.
Trevor Hicks lost two beautiful young daughters that day. He has been immersed in "WHY" for the last 23 years.
He is an intelligent man who has never blamed the fans and doesn't now, and he is not a scouser.
And yet, some of you people think you know better than him, I DON'T THINK SO!

you trolling this thread from the start with your irrelevant comments.

Grow up or get out.

There are many causes for the Hillsborough disaster

Yes, the fans being one of those ingredients.

Not because they are "scousers", but because any crowd has it's share of idiots that push, you can cry "official report" all you like, facts are facts, and people in that crowd pushed because they wanted to, they have blood on their hands as much as the incompetent police, as much as the stadium management.

At the end of the day, it's not going to bring anyone back. Some of the victims families are now talking about people being prosecuted. What they actually mean, is they want revenge. Nothing more nothing less. It would serve no purpose now , whatsoever.
The Liverpool fans have been vindicated. They've had an apology from the Prime Minister (who wasn't even an elected MP at the time) Would they feel better if Her Majesty issued a statement from Buck House apologising to, because she was on the throne at the time?

Just what do they want? (compensation? further apologies?, the re-introduction of the death sentence?) Just what will it take to appease the families? (not the whole of Liverpool, I might add)

There was a recent thread on here about "Public Grief" Do the "people of Liverpool" now feel they have the monopoly on this? Seems very much like it to me.

As a outsider looking in I know its not going to bring anybody back and I really feel for the families....that fateful day nobody could have imagined what was about to unfold but it was after it all happened is what got the families to carry on their fight to get justice. This is my own opinion....if the police who was there for crowd safety ,the FA who decided against other opinions played the game their anyhow without a licence, the ambulace service who never attended the dying/injured ....stated the next day that it all went horribly wrong and lets find out what happened and learn from it..that may have been accepted and see where the enquiry goes, but they never done that and knew they made a major cock up and they then tried to blame the fans to cover their incompetent arses with a smear campaign headed by a rag I wont mention is what the families want to put right.
DC apologised on behalf of the goverment and I believe he gasped when he read the offical report.
The south yorkshire police apologised and said evidence was tampered with and promised a full investigation.
The FA have apologised for their part.
The rag has apologised for their lies, and it goes on and on ...but people like yourself and other fools on here still want to lay the blame at the fans feet and will always do so no matter what the REAL story is, reading some of your comments I can see you dont like scousers for whatevere reason,I myself like any man take people as I find them no matter where they are from/skin colour/language or religion, you need to take a leaf out of my book or do you hate all yorkshire men now?...... I really hate these injustices whoever it is against...

Common sense will tell you that if you have a large group of fans inside the turnstiles but outside the terraces then they will push to get in as the game has already started. It's human nature - so why deny it? It was an ingredient in the mix when the dice were rolled that fateful day. Accept it and move on.

Common sense will tell you that that is why you have crowd control measures at big football matches, that is why the police are paid a lot of money to provide that vital service. These police did not do that that day.
As has been amply demonstrated, this could and would have happened with any large enough group of fans in the same circumstances.
So why blame the fans, accept that and leave the grieved people to follow their entirely understandable need to get justice for their loved ones at last.

I haven't blamed them. A crowd will push by its very nature. Everyone wanted the queue to 'move along' so they could get onto the terraces. The real culprit was those stupid pens that stopped the natural overflow onto the pitch from happening.

Like I've said all along - disasters are a string of events that just happen to tie in on the day.

The pens were a known quantity, as was the way that crowds entering or leaving stadiums move.
The real culprits were the police, the club and the fa for the cause of this disaster. Simple as that.

Like I've said all along - disasters are a string of events that just happen to tie in on the day.
Everyone knows that, and some are just chance, and sometimes some are the result of CRIMINAL NEGLIGENCE.

Every disaster in avoidable in hindsight - move on.

Pathetice wind up attempt, not worth a response. Except to say that it shows the level you are prepared to stoop to. Now go and wash the p*ss off your slippers.

Like I said earlier - I was at that game . I was actually in the turnstile when the shout came that the ground was full and the turnstiles were closed.
So- by my figuring- 'closed is closed '. The scousers outside should have accepted it- and then NO disaster would have happened. Simple as that.
They did not however accept it and were hammering away at the gate and climbing up the walls.
Now though- all the blame is being thrown at police, ambulance people, FA and uncle tom cobbley and all. .
Do you reds really think that the police and others you blame really wanted something like that to happen ?.
Do you not think that they will remember that evening for the rest of their lives ?.
Probably not- because you dont really care about anyone else- just yourselves -'as usual'.
