Congratulations sir kier

For me it should be possible to evict a tenant providing you serve reasonable notice. I think that could be 3 months.

On the flipside, it should be possible for the tenant to exercise a Right to Buy, at a reasonable price. I think that could be 50% of market value.

Pundits are having fun. A recent one - so many MP's that in relationship less scope for bribing by offering better positions - under secretaries for instance, there can only be a certain number of them. Same with all of these methods of gaining more pay above a pure MP's salary. Leaves me wondering if gov costs could be reduced due to this factor. The reasons for the practice are purely political.

Another. Defence spending subject to fiscal rules. Fact is current aims will be what the Tory dialled in.

Looks like they're already out to wreck the rental market. Didn't take them long.

Has any competent commentator said that?

Your strange man claims that homelessness will increase. Does he plan to demolish houses?

He also attacks the Conservative policy of forcing owners to sell to tenants at a discount. Strange. Even Motorbiking defends it.

There is another MOD factor and Tory related. Concerns about where the money goes. Projects got a mention and their results.

Starmer and the EU now a lot clearer. He wants a return to joint projects with them. They actally worked out rather well. Earlier reports without any details indicated that Germany will support what ever was discussed.. The rest? Well we still do have some things to offer.

A Blare advisor pointed out a more serious problem. Actually as far as manufacture goes I thought this was obvious. We do have some larger scale stuff. Cars for instance but in real terms we need to get into other areas that can sell and employ. That will need external investment.

Dyson has announced job losses. Seems they are not all in this country. New guy in control of this sort of thing. Dyson is having problem competing with others on various products. Some say he intends to move design offshore. He may be or maybe he is not. What he says is that he wants reduced corporation tax. Now just how could we achieve that? Also
On average, the European countries analyzed currently levy a corporate income tax rate of 21.3 percent. This is slightly below the worldwide average which, measured across 181 jurisdictions, was 23.45 percent in 2023.
Mignt be when ours was reduced and didn't achieve anything. Makes me wonder if any country can really afford corp tax wars.

Nobody forced me to sell any property I owned at a discount. You must have been dreaming again.

Lots of owners has been forced to sell properties below market value.

As you know.

What he says is that he wants reduced corporation tax.

Lots of people say "it would be much better if you taxed me less"

Better for them, maybe. The benefits they claim are illusory.

Taxes are the ticket you pay to live in a civilised nation.

But some like you, want others to pay more so that you can benefit from their hard work.

I’d be happy to pay no tax and pay for every single thing I consumed from the state. I’d be significantly better off. Would you?

If you want to sell me your home for 50% of its value, I’m happy to help you. But I don’t plan to move to staffs. I hear it’s grim up there.

How about if you were in a serious RTA, had to be airlifted to hospital & spent 3 months in ICU and had several operations, then rehab

If you want to reply to the point made, go ahead.
If you want to make up unrelated stuff, do it with someone else (y)

I don't rent any houses out.
I own one, and live in it (y)
