Could someone take a look at these images:

I got called to a friends guest house to add a radiator to existing system that was installed less than 3weeks ago...

I seen this and think there's a potential dangerous problem... or 2.

sorry for quality of photos... taken on my phone...
I didn't install radiator since I wanted a second opinion on the soundness of the install before I drained down.

thanks
,mik

If your talking about the flue that is waste pipe which (on this boiler anyway) is fine.

Apart from 15mm pipe next to double socket and 3 core flex running behind pipe work cant see anything else

I can see quite clearly what is wrong here. There appears to be a keston boiler installed, this in itself is a crime.

Odd looking bit of upvc top left??

Ah - sportted it. He's left the filling loop connected so the street could die from the ooze from the evil keston beast.

thanks for all the reply's guys even if it was just to say the boilers crap

Pressure vessel isolated from system by filling loop perhaps?

top marks! giblets :) but seriously this is what I thought was a problem... is it right?

also there is no bypass valve fitted to the flow/return... is this ok?

cheers

whats the pipe over the top of the boiler from the vessel for then? its also isolated

Much better

Can't see very clearly, but it ain't right.

Whats the pipe that goes over the top, and what the filler loop doing

Also the vessel isn't mounted right

The image quality is not sufficient but.....

As has been mentioned it's a carp boiler.

There are two gate valves on the flow/return under the boiler....so there in no protection against overheating....they could easily be turned off by mistake....remove them.

The condensate pipework and flue appear to be poorly supported. Are they terminated correctly?

The expansion vessel will have considerable mass once it's full of water (through lack of regular maintainance). Normallly supported with the feet...is the wall bracket sufficient?

The expansion vessel/safety valve/pressure gauge does not appear to be connected to the boiler pipework ie it's connected to the cold main. There appears to be a stopcock on the pipework from the Cistermiser to the vessel. Is the boiler open vented? Something clearly amiss.

Poor posistioning of pipework above electrics...water ingress risk.

And check there is an auto bypass valve, the flue pipe is high temperature uPVC etc.

Some serious safety issues....turn off until checked out fully.
