sound ok to me and if you decide you don't want the console there anymore just pull the cable out

i would fit an isolator mainly to give yourself an easy place to disconnect the cable if and when you decide you no longer want the centre unit

So, as follow up question, if I'm running a cable under concrete floor, (unless I bury the cable deeply) I presume I need a steel conduit, as a plastic one is against the regulations?
