Erbauer impact driver too fast!

My oldest Makita is now 11 years old - after Panasonic they were the second on the market. The problem is that they are expensive (my BTD145 cost nearly £200 in 2010, most modern equivalents from any manufacturer are north of £150 - bare) - and the OP is on Erbauer, who don't do one

Bare dewalt under £75.
 
It would help if you quoted the model number. I presume you mean the DCF887N (FFX £72 on special offer - normally a tad under £90 delivered). Pity it isn't an Erbauer, which is what the OP has...

If you get a current top of the line gun it generally has 4-speeds and features like a Tek screw mode - probably not much use for most DIYers, but very handy for someone in the trades. And they aren't £72 from anyone (and do DW even make one?) :confused:
