EV estate

The Kia EV6 has about the same capacity as a Volvo v40 . (The older model)
I have a v40 and am looking to maybe buy an EV6

SUV is probably an easier option. Not many EV estates.

Not EVs, but all similar or less £ than an EV6, and all tax, MOT & ULEZ exempt

Not 1 of them would be described as a reliable daily transport with low running costs.

I don't want one. It's just that if they ever ban ice cars and ev is the only option, I need a vehicle which can take all my fishing tackle, which includes holdalls 2mtrs long.

Smaller car and a roof box

Yes, I know. They cost a fortune to buy, depreciate rapidly and will leave you stranded if you dare to have both the heater and radio on. But for some strange reason people still buy these EV things.

Think BMW do a few as well

The MG 5 is a lot bigger than many estates from juts a few years back.

MG have an estate that is cheap enough to use for "stuff" A mechanic in Scotland uses his as a van to service other MG's. It is loaded with kit and has done over 100,000 miles in 3 years with no drama.

I expect it's probably because an increasing number of them are realising that's BS...?

I would suggest that because of an old Yank costing a fraction of an EV and having zero depreciation if it's condition is maintained - would be far cheaper to run than an EV.

Plus you get the fantastic burble of a big 'V' rather than an annoying whine like a milk float.
