and where will the Kwh for all of those come from?

Wind, gas, solar, nuclear, some will be imported from places which typically use nuclear, hydro and wind for the majority of their generation.
There are likely to be other sources in the future such as Morocco.

We are on, and beyond the limit at the moment, generating with gas and importing, to make up for the shortfall.

There is no shortfall. If there was, rolling blackouts would be happening continuously.
Supply of electricity is equal to demand - just like it has been for ever.

You're right, funnily enough I don't have the data for the town I live in that shows how many car drivers don't have a driveway.

so 8000 drivers have a dozen charging points if they don't have their own driveway. Sounds great!
