Expanded ULEZ

Regardless. There is always a speed limit in force.
Not when the A555 was built there wasn't.

There may have been signs up, but no-one had completed the basic paperwork to say what that limit should be, hence there wasn't one.

There was nothing ambiguous- you just keep dodging the fact that you were wrong to say the Highway Code is law.

Which is nonsense of course.
Hmm, for a supposed legal bod your wording and interpretation is poor.

Would you like to point out where I said it is law?

Will any of it, ULEZ in general, actually improve the air quality in London?
The published evidence shows clearly that concentrations of air pollution have declined across London due to the ULEZ, but remain above the safe limits set by the World Health Organization.

Which indicates that Khan is correct in taking additional measures.
Something else needs to be done.
The discussion should be about what else can be done, not dismissing that which is being done because some disagree with it.

The UK produces 2% of the worlds pollution.

We will pay through the nose for gesture policies, whilst the rest of the world will carry on destroying the planet.
And that pollution kills about 40,000 peo[;e each year.

So what, let's do nothing.

Except it's ok to jail ordinary people for years who simply point out the absurdity of the claim that the UK is a 'green country' whilst the UK issues new oil/gas drilling licences...

And then penalises other ordinary (mainly poorer) people for using those fossil fuels that have been licensed!

So who is doing nothing, and who is paying for it?

So the Ulez expansion will stop those deaths will it? All that’s happening is cameras are removed, old cars are sold up north and people drive elsewhere. Business suffers and net emissions probably stay the same after accounting for the drop that was happening anyway. The only reason khan has done it now is because the opportunity will be gone in a few years.

Small businesses will suffer...

Big business will then step in!

And how come whilst this is happening there is airport expansion?
