Errr yes, and I doubt that anyone is going to argue otherwise.
Are you kidding? Type the word 'kangaroo' into the search facility and see how many hornsmokers are crying over their scumbag hero, Bullshít Boris.

P.S. its a public forum and not all about you. (y)

So who's telling the truth?

'Cos I'm no longer sure.

Turns out farage was telling porkies...

No surprise there!

So nothing about a 'political bias', but to do with not having enough dosh!

Nigel Farage does not deny he has too little money at exclusive bank Coutts to keep account

Of course there is the money laundering question still outstanding...

"Banks can refuse to take on PEPs as clients, as they require the institution to carry out extra checks to prevent bribes or corruption from being processed through them"

Farage and Alarm Bells do sit rather well in the same sentence ;)

Is there reason to believe that story is actually true?
Does he fall into this category, if you think he does then why would you not think there's an element of truth to why he was rejected by nine banks.

Who can blame Coutts, really. It was a commercial decision. Those that support Brexit aren't exactly your go-to financial advert. Quite the opposite.

Do you think that all of these people

"...individuals who are or have been entrusted domestically with prominent public functions.’ Some examples of positions which qualify as PEPs are as follows:

  • Senior executives in government-owned businesses, like the BBC
  • Government officials
  • Leaders of political parties
  • Senior members of religious groups
  • High-ranking military officials
  • Consuls and ambassadors
  • Members of the House of Lords
  • Members of parliament
  • Close friends or relations of any of the above"

Routinely find it impossible to open bank accounts?

If not, Farage's tale may be less than convincing.

has admitted Brexit has failed.

Didnt he once say that if this happened, he would go and live abroad?
And now he wants to live in Europe, the worlds gone mad. He be claiming another nationality next....may be this is about getting into the usa

Blup

...Farage's tale may be less than convincing.

On the other hand, those of them who have been provided with a £4m rent free home, car and driver, and hundreds of thousands of pounds from an interesting source or Russian connections, might sometimes arouse more suspicion.

This country is getting worryingly Orwellian. Some of those who preach freedom are actually the most oppressive in history.
Its all about money laundering procedures making it uneconomic for the banks to carry out costly checks on low value customers who are politically exposed people, tory legislation iirc. Farrage isn't investing enough to make it worth while, so Couts have dropped him. Only he could turn this into a what has this country become story. The reality is he has been victim of heartless business practice that puts profits before people, the kind that he and his mates think doesn't apply to them. I suspect he lost a steady source of income when he derailed his own european gravy train.

The irony for all these money laundering rules is that it hasnt affected russsian influence on brexhit and the tory party one little bit.

Blup
