“Steep decline”
You bang on about how we need to pay more tax, Labour put tax up just as you wanted and now you are moaning your policies have caused a “steep decline”
Thing is i wouldn’t have raised taxes on the employers like Labour have done as it is and will be hurting the poorest in society
I would have removed the upper limit for NI and increased taxes on people earning over £150k
And i would have passed legislation so that homes that get extended are immediately revalued for council tax.
And i would have increased road tax on all EVs

Change minimum wage, change employment law, change employer NI all in one go. Spooked everyone in to hiring freezes and putting investment on hold.

CEO of Waterstones was on R4 the other morning. Business is booming and the NI changes won't alter their plans.

Under Conservatives:
1) living stds a failure
2) NHS waiting lists, a failure
3) water companies, a failure
4) highest taxes in 70 years but public services getting worse: a failure
5) immigration: highest ever levels: a failure
6) Rwanda scheme that cost £800m for 0 people. a failure
7) prisons collapsing: a failure
8) a hard Brexit causing self imposed economic sanctions: a failure
9) £4b spaffed up the wall on bogus PPE contracts: a failure
10) wages stagnated for 14 years: a failure.
