Heathrow airport

Infrastructure security in this country appears to be a joke

They were talking about food security this morning that appears to be pretty dire

If it kicks off in Europe ?? We would have to surrender

According to a report I heard earlier by a resident who lives about 100mtrs away from the sub station, there was a planned power outage scheduled for 23:30 that evening.
They were made aware of the fact by email/text at about 19:00 that evening.
Just something I heard on the radio earlier, so if true it looks like a fault had occurred which they were aware of and needed to shut things down for maintenance.

Is that a thing? In ANY country?

How much of the gazillion miles of network can they protect?

It’s the biggest / busiest air port in Europe

The entire caper is an embarrassment to the UK

Entire air port shut down

That's more down to the fact that the airport is reliant on one supplier of electricity with no back-up. They need to ring around the local hospitals and see what they suggest.

It was reported on R5L that the back up packed up too..

Hardly a back up then.....

A big old reliable diesel generator would have been handy, but they got rid of that to comply with the insane net zero malarkey.
Fookin eejits.
Still, I'm pleased that this has shone the light of reality (once again) onto how utterly deluded these con men are.

It sounds like the Heathrow one did quite well. It covered the stuff they needed to allow planes to divert and to manage a graceful shutdown.

Backups aren't normally designed to last forever, the first few minutes are the most critical and the value for every following minute is slightly less.

Everyone sweats bullets when it's Disaster Recovery testing day or Business continuity testing day. Even when there's no disaster they're very risky.

There is so much contradictory information out there. Some claiming Heathrow uses diesel, others that it uses biomass. Trying to get to the bottom of it all right now is generating far more heat than light.

Vlad can’t believe his luck

Nope, still don't know what you're on about.
Has Vlad blamed climate activists for the sub station fire or something?
I can't imagine he has commented about it whatsoever.
