Help finding a really cheap 13A socket.

But heating due to current carrying occurs irrespective of voltage.

So 15A at 10v will heat the conductors/connectors/etc the same amount as it will at 230v

I'm quite confident that if I had the apparatus with which to do it, I could show that the heating would be much greater with 15A at 230,000V than 15A at 230V.

Physics says P=I^2.R

So the power dissapated over the joint, depends upon the resistance over it and the current flowing thru it?

I remember reading something from MK that said that a twin SO is rated to to a total of 13A, and quoting some tests that showed damage when running at 18A.

I think I read it here; I've done a search but drawn a blank.

Any one else remember this or am I hallucinating ?

TLC do a Telco one for 1.30 (1.10 if you buy 10) "Telco 25 Year Guarantee
Made to the highest specification with a brilliant white finish."

I've got some brand new, unused, still in the wrapper "knightsbridge" (TLC own brand I think ?) ones that I don't intend to use - you're welcome to one of these if it provides education or entertainment !
