They normally can’t contain their glee of such an event. Of course, we never had that when we were in the EU at the start of the Easter holidays, did we.

Simon Calder has just been on R5L.

Says it is all our fault effectively.

Demanding additional hard border checks.

Which obviously take a lot more time than the old wave-through.
Especially when you are dealing with coaches full of school kids.

I’m more surprised that the scoundrels are not on strike. After all, it is just coming up to their strike season, isn’t it?

Do you think that might be why no one didn't wasted time posting it up? You remainers seem to be obsessed with your victim status.

"Speaking to the staff here and they say it's entirely down to what happened with Brexit. Each individual passport needs to be individually stamped and that's why it's taking so long."

The 90 day limit in 180 means every passport has to be checked and stamped, in and out.

Brexiteers are a strange bunch...

They love ruining everyone's getaway plans and deny it's their fault ;)

I wonder when they will actually tell us of a single benefit of brexit?

Well the ones still alive of course!

"Coach passengers arriving at Dover for the Easter getaway face lengthy waits despite extra ferries being laid on overnight to clear a backlog.

Some passengers who arrived on Saturday were still stuck on Sunday morning."

So the brexit chaos continues...

Maybe there could be a solution though...

I recall traveling to the US and seeing a question on the landing form asking 'are you a member of, or ever have been a member of, a terrorist organisation?'

We have UK police in France, so maybe we should have French police in the UK asking people to tick a yes/no box saying 'did you vote brexit'?

And they'd be armed with a big red stamp labelled 'no entry without a visa' to those answering in the affirmative...

Quick and easy (y)

I wonder how many would have the courage of their conviction and do the 'back shuffle of shame'?

But here's a question for brexiteers...

Do you care about the kids stuck on coaches for many hours due to the chaos you have caused?

Nowt to do with me and I accept to responsability what so ever

Really strange, I can’t recall a single time during the Easter rush that there’s been delays at ports and airports. Oh, tell a lie, it happens every. ****ing. year.

Blaming Brexit, still, is pointless trolling. You may as well hark back to times before international terrorism as times before Brexit.

There's a known capacity on travel by that route. The boat operators know what the customs capacity is, and should be allowing a factor for typical French customs cooperation or lack of it.
Capacity partly depends on the number of boats, or more wouldn't have been put on at the last minute to ease the situation.

This is just British mismanagement.
