I am so glad that Mrs Thatcher..............................

OK so theres a lot of recent history, hotly debated politic's here, so who would you vote for next time around, another lot of carrear politicians or abstain in disgust???
UKIP may well be the last roll of the dice as they're the only ones who sound different.

For me the biggest agenda is the mass immigration and as people have already stated unless we move away from the EU we are soon to be overrun even further so the only party which is "saying"they are going to tackle it is UKIP, so for me its the party I will be voting for.

Thatcher had a personal war against the miners, a sign of strength with nothing to do with economics, it was political...anyone who thinks otherwise is deluded.
There you go, corrected it for you.

Strange how she never tried to battle with other trade union leaders, Red Robbo, Jack Jones etc........only Scargil?

Evil woman who was obsessed with fighting it out against miners.....destroyed communities and did nothing to help people, she wont be missed by the majority thats for sure!!!

Rubbish.
In 1979, she claimed that millions of British workers feared union power. Polls proved her correct with over 80% of workers favoring the government's proposals to reform and limit the unions.

She believed that workers should be made to face unemployment if they forced their employers into bankruptcy. Proper order.

Thatcher wanted growth - she got it in her bladder.

He was an unusually good orator though.

Nonsense
She was a Tory, a direct opponent of Labour, which everyonw knows started out as a trade union organisation commitee.

She told everyone she wanted to reform then unions, but she really wanted to get rid of them.

If 80% of workers favoured her, why did unions lose 50% of members since she came to power, after her reforms.

If Thatcher was in power today, she would do her best to get rid of the TUC!

Have you a source for that claim?

In 1992, a mere 35% belonged to a union. Although one cause of the decline of overall union membership was the decrease in the number of manufacturing workers, who are more likely than average to belong to a union, union membership among manufacturing workers themselves dropped as well. In 1980, 65% of the workers in the manufacturing sector belonged to a union; in 1990, only 44% did.

So would I if I was in power. A bunch of wasters on high salaries.

He was a t*t.

Maggies downfall was the the poll tax.

What about refusing to allow councils to build new homes with proceeds from right to buy, instead they pocket the money....now we have a shortage of homes.

There's no shortage of homes. Lest not if the million or so foreigners would go home that labour welcomed into the country to garner votes.

What happens when the roma gypo's arrive? Do we build free homes for them?

Why don't you stop employing them then and they'll all go home. No work and off they'll go.
