The American Bar Association previously deemed Mizelle, a former clerk for Supreme Court Justice Clarence Thomas, “Not Qualified” for a federal judgeship.
Lucky for her, her husband is Trump administration's acting General Counsel to the U.S. Department of Homeland Security.

Trump up to a couple of things. One, hoping to get enough senators etc elected to get a majority so that they can block what the new president does - seems things are close. Two, keeping his supports interested so they will vote for him next time.

While countries like Zimbabwe, Malawi and El Salvador have recently banned child marriage, it remains legal in the US - and half of states have no set minimum age below which you cannot get married.
It seems Trump has asked the legal people he is using to try and overturn the election to come and talk to him - sounds like that includes the judges.
