That would be quite obvious from my position. I fail to understand how anyone could draw such a vehement conclusion given the lack of detail. Perhaps the emotion of the hospital experience had a part to play and not the cold light of day of reality.

Pathetic. Straw-man drivel as usual. Nobody was vehement. It wasn't a conclusion, the doc just answered the question; he was simply right. Gant's often the only vehement one there.
Trouble is all too often, that those with such a limited view, as fake news people, have constrained themselves because of their position, where they've stuck their head. They can only see their own poo and have to spit it out when in the light. 'Failing to understand' much, including how they look, is just one common failure.

GB news interviewers are like that. Saw one recently where Oliver tried to make out something stupid from some figures, and was squashed flat by the sciency bloke he was asking, who actually knew what he was talking about.
Oliver said something like, "Ah, but the point persists".
Sciency bloke squashed him even flatter, something like "You're trying to claim malnourishment in hospitals on the basis that all the people who go into maternity wards lose weight".
Awkward end to interview, and Oliver sheepishly says something assinine about sciency blokes.
He's a clown, who isn't funny.
Cue assinine comments....... Nothing to say except to feebly try, childlike, to reflect it back.......
