Is there a god?

Gotta be honest joe I was expecting a little from you when you wrote
You just can't grasp the concept. Not many people can - you need to be intelligent to know what I'm talking about. ;)

what we got was

Maybe not, but if there is a God it must encompass everything or it would not be God. Look around you at the universe - it all came from somewhere - let's give that somewhere/something a name, let's call it God. Now YOU believe in God.

You cannot have God separated from the energy within the universe because if you go down that line - then where did the energy come from? Oh I know - it came from God. A separate God would only be a demi-god.

Before the big bang there was nothing. So what acted upon that nothing to make it a something? I guess we should give it a name. Let's call it God.

I shouldn't be surprised though because like a cheap hooker........................................................you never fail to disappoint

Forget it mate - you are too thick to understand.

I would rather burn in hell then worship a god who tolerates the evil that is done in his name..

People's actions cannot be used fairly as an excuse to reject God. God will not buy that one. God is good, perfect, just, merciful, loving and fair. If someone does something against His will but in His name, we cannot hold that against God. And in the end, He won't allow us to.

In the end, each person will be accountable to God and there will be no room for excuses or self-justification. Either we sought God and allowed Him to transform us, or we didn't.

God is waiting for people to hear the gospel, throughout the world.
then Gods judgement will come.

matthew 13;28
Do you want us then to go and gather them up?’ 29 But he said, ‘No, lest while you gather up the tares you also uproot the wheat with them.

the tares are those who reject christ, the wheat are those who accept christ

easy 10,998,180,000,000 furlongs or 15 light years.

Dimensionally, this seems to work.
1.86E5 mile/sec x 8 furlongs/mile x 15 years x 365.25 days/year x 24 hour/day x 3600 sec/hour = 7E14 furlongs to a precision of one significant figure.

The miles, seconds, years, days and hours cancel and you're left with furlongs.

I think. . .?

Repetition does not a case make.
You are just showing your ignorance.

The truth speaks for itself - every time I post it.

Prove the logic wrong if you can (he won't).

I strongly agree with joe, he is on the right track, how can something emerge from Nothing? it simply can't, logically there has to be something, even if we cannot see that something.

Everything that we see around us, did come from somewhere, or something created it, even if the process of creation took billions of years.

The only logical explanation is that since energy is invisible, it almost seems like there is nothing because we cannot see it, so we cannot say the universe came into being from nothing, we have to see what universe is made of, it is made of matter that was formed from the invisible energy, some of that energy is still floating around, in between galaxies, in the so called void or space, which may not be after all empty but filled with something, a (dark energy) oh the scientist call it dark energy because it is invisible, I call it invisible energy.

The towering intellect that is joe90 cannot tell us "what it is" and has to rely on the logic that it must be "something" and for want of a better word, we can call that something god.

Staggeringly brilliantly in it's simplicity...........................I wonder why

And the unimaginable suffering and death of countless children is a wonderful example of his mercy and love?

Because it's true. The truth is always simple.
