What does this being my first post have to do with anything? If this forum is open to any discussion then I guess it's fine but I thought this was a DIY forum as it is advertised and I was looking for specific help. And from the looks of this you've been here most of the day which means you're trolling. I think perhaps spend more time doing DIY and giving advice on the subject rather than trying hard to win a geopolitical debate against everyone with an opposing viewpoint.Not the best first post

The general discussion areas is generally not about DIY. It would be really nice if they had a politics section so that we didn't have to read all the political cr*p, but they don't, so we do.
If you are a genuine new poster, you will see there are sections to ask DIY stuff. We do get people in this forum with all sorts of personality disorders and they frequently get banned and create new IDs to resurrect themselves. You will forgive the caution.

But then I guess you also would think that the fact that the state of Israel came about largely due to the illegal actions of designated terrorists is irrelevant?

It always comes back to what Israel have done, doesn't it.
Hamas want the destruction of all Jews, it is irrelevant when they were formed. Until that changes this will go on.

They came about because, the Muslim Brotherhood, which they were part of, were designated a terrorist organisation by Egypt and Saudi Arabia, amongst others. They were not able to function and splinter groups popped up, Hamas being one.
And Zionists want the whole of the Levant. Until that changes this will go on.
