For joining, yes. That would be my suggestion. Id give it if it was compulsory as there would be certain legal requirements to keep it safe - data protection act for a start. Would keep every known troll away who hides behind their screen. I had a DITY to keep data protected when I was dealing with vulnerable students. Everyone that processes data has to. It’s the law.

I’ve always said, it should be a legal requirement, just like opening a bank account, for I.D. To be produced to join up to a forum. Would cut out 99.999% of incitement, scammers and trolls at a stroke. Just imagine those that would have to drop out of this forum!
