Sounds very sensible.... Yet to those who tar good immigrants with bad immigrants thinks he's going full circle .

If they had listened carefully maybe we would still be in the EU.
He didn't suggest this until after we had left. And he realised he can't get enough staff.

Moving the goalposts bit by bit.

And there was me thinking that these captains of industry would actually have a clue about economics and politics and how both could damage your business. Boss of M&S was just as niaive, as was Tim Martin of Wetherspoons and a load of farmers in the shires, but the most obvious example of misunderstanding what Brexit would do was the Old Dairy Brewery in Kent who have called in the receivers since that article was written. All because of Brexit

Project Fear? Project Truth more like

Cant see any of them? Have you suggested this tax on immigrants before ?
No, never suggested tax before, I was merely agreeing with the 'brexiteer' that suggested it. I have however suggested something similar to. "freedom to work only in so far as for Europeans to fill jobs in the UK that cannot be filled by U.K. workers".

Which is what they were doing ?

Staff shortages since brexit I believe ?

Where does it say that the receivers have been called in due to Brexit? I can see nothing at companies house.

There are staff shortages in Europe too. https://www.euractiv.com/section/politics/news/labour-shortages-felt-all-over-europe/

Funny that, you’d think there would be a glut of workers in Europe, what with all those Europeans we have sent back, don't you think?

Are you talking of EU issues ( we have left), or ours ?

mottie/motman/whatever it's name seems to be like a dog with a bone when it comes to the EU...

Surely it would be content with the UK having brexited, but oh no...

It wants a collapse of the UK's biggest trading bloc...

Total lunacy!

I guess you didn't see...

"Brewery hailed as a Brexit export champion calls in administrators"

Linky Linky

"A Kent brewery that the government proclaimed as an export champion after Brexit, is racing to find a buyer weeks after it revealed it had only one EU customer left.

Old Dairy Brewery, which appeared in a promotional video by the Department for International Trade last year to showcase post-Brexit opportunities, has filed notice of its intention to appoint administrators, in an effort to fend off creditors while it tries to find a buyer."

Linky Linky 2

"It comes after it revealed a huge drop in export sales due to the additional red tape caused by our departure from the European Union.

Ironically, it had been appointed an 'export champion' by the Department for International Trade for the second year running earlier this year.

However, extra paperwork, customs checks and transport regulations has seen many of its international customers drop due to the additional costs involved."

"It is proposing to appoint Crowe UK in Tunbridge Wells to act as administrators."

Nothing to do with Brexit?

the simple fact is any change has a cost it can be quite small up to not a good level[keeping this civil]
i initially thought brexit would cost perhaps 5- 10% in the short term over perhaps 5-10 years i now think perhaps 15% over 15 years as a recovery to health and growth as a cost to leaving
now my thoughts are not knee jerk one sided reactions more what i think
i dont want immature childish insults just intelligent helpful debate
off course i am often wrong but through seeking accurate and honest information but not quite getting there but never through manipulation misinformation and an attempt to deceive:giggle:

Even Nigel would used the term "Controled immigration" do you not remember those two words on the run up to Brexit? It was banded round quite alot.....

That's how Canada works

Yes. If you read the links I posted, you wouldn’t ask such a silly, snippy question. As per my other thread, I know we have problems in the U.K. but so does every other country in the world and it’s not solely due to Brexit yet still some on here rub their hands with glee when they think it is while remaining blinkered with what is happening elsewhere in the world.

Spoke with my mate the other day. Hes in Aus....although they are self sufficient they are also experiencing high prices he tells me. Also the government is as poor too... he still thinks this country is fùçked

Cobblers! "Filed notice of intention" and "proposing to appoint" is just material for your Brexit w ank bank. Sounds like ifs, buts and maybe's.

There’s a brewery, right now, on BBC breakfast saying that grain has gone up 20% and it’s expected to rise to 40% plus other costs including rent and electricity and THATS why breweries are having it tough. No mention of Brexit. Do you know where a lot of grain comes from? It’s been on the news a bit lately…….
