Its about the eu and animal welfare.

Which one is you Nosey?

Transam's whole thread isn't based on lies or bogus nonsense.
http://www.mirror.co.uk/news/uk-news/how-eu-prevents-uk-banning-8000467
Brilliant!
Transom's (arse end) whole thread is based on the lies that EU ONLY allows shipment of live animals, and PREVENTS the meat from being shipped in chilled or frozen state.
I present a UK government web site that proves the vast majority of transport of meat into UK (UK still being regulated by EU) is in chilled, frozen or processed state, and you disagree.
The main market for lamb in UK is for leg, do you think we breed sheep with just legs and no other part of the carcass?
Are you so stupid you believe a Daily Mirror account of some sheep having to be destroyed supports transom's (arse end) claim that only live animals are allowed in and out of the country, which is still regulated by EU, and will probably continue to be after Brexit?

The EU regulations DO NOT prevent the import/export of chilled, frozen or processed meat. Neither do they prevent the import/export of live animals.
Why would UK want to not allow import/export of live animals?
I suspect the vast majority of live animal movement is between NI and UK mainland. An exploration of the ITA website would show the true position.
The EU regulations do provide for veterinary inspection and certification of live animal import and export.

They travel in dire conditions & some do not survive when they reach there country of destination. Often a country beyond Europe , were welfare rules are less strict or non existent.

Perhaps north Africa or the Middle East ;) were they can face ritual slaughter ;) with out being stunned for religious festivals ;)
The farmers can choose not to sell their animals, or to put a very high price on them, but they do not!
A carcass would be pointless for ritual slaughter.

Attempts to replace the exports of live animals with chilled carcasses have been ruled as un-lawful under EU law ;)
Utter nonsense. The vast majority of meat imported and exported is frozen, chilled or processed meat.
We import more than half of our food. Restrictions on animal EXPORTS out of UK will not make an iota of difference to the vast majority that are IMPORTED!

In short the EU rules & regs are a disgrace. They encourage cruelty to animals & pander to dck ead countries who's treatment of animals is a total disgrace.
The EU regulations provide for veterinary inspection and certification.

In short, arse end is either totally misguided and gullible, or he is intentionally spreading lies and deceit.
I suspect the latter.
He is a disgrace! Post Brexit and UK must develop more meat and livestock trade with these countries ( Hong Kong, China, Africa, Pillipines, etc) that arse end is suggesting that animal treatment is a total disgrace.

There is an alternative model which arse end and mightyblab may prefer. 90% of our meat and animal trade is with EU. Post brexit, there may only be 10% of the current trade in meat and animals. We will be mostly vegetarians by then, except that we need to import non animal-origin food as well. But heyho, Brexit at any cost eh?

How will they compensate the farmers, livestock transporters, etc?
Oh, silly me, they will have loads o' money sloshing about. :ROFLMAO::ROFLMAO:
Will they be banning imports as well, which is far more than exports?
Dunderhead!

Oh, look, rather than neutering animals now, Celia Hammond has started a campaign, arguing that animals should not be neutered against their will.
:rolleyes::rolleyes:

Arse end tells outrageous lies, then when he is shown to be an outrageous liar, he pretends he was only joking.
The amazing thing is, some not only believe his lies, but actually embellish them!

I see you are attacking Jewish religious laws. What has that to do with the EU? British law has always allowed exemption.
