Luxembourg

When it comes to tax dodging the UK would have a long way to go to catch up with Luxembourg or the Irish Republic both enthusiastic members of the EU.
Ireland defauds the EU govenment of billions per year by allowing multi nationals to launder their profits through its economy.
Ireland is already in court appealing an EU order to collect 13billion in back taxes from the Apple corporation.
Apple is just one example of many, Apple which has no outlets in Ireland was registering its profits made elsewhere as made in Ireland.

Multinationals get special deals in Ireland which allows them to evade tax on a massive scale, Apple apparently had an effective tax rate of . 005

So you approve of the EU anti tax avoidence directive.

Do you think its the reason the Torys want to leave the EU.....to avoid their buddies having to stop getting away with it.

The EU also have the power to force the US digital companies to cough up.

But you voted for the UK to become a greater tax haven, with a bonfire of regulations

Vinty doesn't quite understand that he is arguing against his own argument

I stated fact, Ireland is the world's biggest tax haven.
You are claiming that the UK will become a tax haven post brexit but as brexit hasn't happened you are indulging in speculation.
If the electorate post brexit are daft enough (which I don't think they are) to vote for a UK version of Leprechaun economics then they will get the government they deserve.

Too late we are heading for low regulation tax Haven status.

Economic Tax Free Ports, fraud here we come.

Brexit giveth to the Rich, taketh from the Poor.

I don't have any problem with moves to harmonise corporate taxes to create an even playing field.
Tax evasion by multinationals isn't just a problem in the EU ,it is a Global problem ,so whether the UK is in or out of the EU is irrelevant.

That is untrue though.

Individual countries cant solve tax evasion, because they dont have power over other nations.

And if the UK is in the EU it will mean the UK has to abide by the tax anti tax avoidence rules, if it leaves it will allow the Tory government an opportunity to expand tax avoidence for its super rich doners.

Trying to argue Brexit hasnt happened yet so its speculation is head in sand reasoning.

I though you disliked Tory policys?

Right Wing Tory policies, lets be clear my parents are old school conservatives - my father still attends any appointment wearing a tie! I think this time round they will vote Lib Dems - probably a wasted vote but they do not like where the current Tory party is headed.

There are lot of well minded conservative voters who object to a great deal of the madness from the current RW zealots.

Untrue...

The EU is bringing in Tax evasion laws that those behind the leave campaign wish to avoid.

The UK outside the EU will be exempt from these laws, and will indeed become a money laundering/tax evasion capital of the world!

I don't have any problem with moves to harmonise corporate taxes to create an even playing field.
But your position of wishing the UK to be able to be outside the EU argues against that claim!

I don't like a lot of their policies.
You seem to assume that post Brexit the Tories will be in power in perpetuity.
What is there to prevent the electorate choosing an alternative to the Tories.

The UK doesn't have to be in the EU to avoid becoming a tax haven, haven't you noticed that Ireland is a full member of the EU and it has one of the most corrupt tax systems in the world.

So yet again we find that a country within the EU can set it's own taxation/social system...

I thought quitters believe that the EU control everything we do?

Jeremy Corbyn is a leave supporter along with millions of labour supporters, do they come under your definition of RW Zealots.

What it does show is that whether in or out of the EU you can still end up with a corrupt government.
