Manufacturer says 15A fuse needed for 2.79kW oven

Looks like you need a star or torx bit to undo that silver screw on the black thing.

Should hinge open then

If you have several flat blade screwdrivers, you may find one of the correct size to work

Bosch Neff Siemens also use Torx screws on the covers and the terminals / cable strain relief inside. AEG probably do the same? Can't remember the exact size needed, though.

Please, DO NOT use a flat blade screwdriver you'll knacker the blade and/or the screw head(s) and likely not make a sufficiently tight connection in any case on the cable you use in the install.

A set of torx screwdrivers or L shaped torx keys from Screwfix/Toolstation/Amazon will probably be around a tenner and will come in useful (car part fasteners are frequently torx nowadays).

Check if any family, friends or neighbours will lend the needed tool?

I have a set of torx fittings and have managed to get the silver screw off but not obvious which way the hinge goes and reluctant to force it in case something breaks.

Rating plate confirms 2.79kw as per pic.

Put screwdriver in which holes ?? There are quite a few. Is it hinges on right hand side ?

Got it open and nothing broke thankfully. Below is what’s now in front of me so I now know which terminal is for what wire.

As per below, manual seems to suggest a 1.5mm cable. This surprised me somewhat as I thought 1.5mm was for lighting circuits.

So is just a standard 1.5mm T+E cable ? Does it need to be any particular type/standard ? Any recommendations of brands if I was buying from Screwfix ?

You put the wire under that screw head, and next to that raised bit of metal.

Then tighten it up.

Thanks but still not following exactly ? So just wrap it half way around from bottom to top ?

In fact, when I feed the wire through the hole on the black cover, it will come out directly at the raised bit of metal. Should I then just wrap it round to the left so it creates almost a full circle ?

Yeah.you wrap the cable around the screw in a clockwise direction.

Half way round the screw is plenty.
I’m sure you will do it fine.

The raised bit of metal traps it in place.

Ideally use this cable.
