As you know, there are restrictions on immigration.

Therefore it is not unrestricted.

Case closed.

So what's the cap?

I can do this all night if you want John, unless there's a definitive number at which the boarder will stop entry then it's not restricted by volume is it.

Refusal of entry because a person doesn't meet a requirement isn't the same as a restricted capacity.

When people talk about migration the important point is the volume of immigration, not if they ticked the right boxes to be allowed in.

It's restricted.

If you want to have a conversation about the price of onions, or your favourite colour, or how often to mow lawns, or anything else, go and find someone who wants to join you.

Immigration is restricted.

It is not unrestricted.

Motorbiking was wrong.

He knows that.

Does there need to be a cap? EU immigrants come here to work. If there is no work then home they go. Win win.

Given that TM wanted it to be 10k and many others campaign on that ticket I'd imagine there should be.

Are you contradicting yourself now because I believe a moment ago you said it was relative to the amount of jobs available.

Where is the Leavers' proposal for our future outside the EU, and our desired terms for leaving? Why haven't they published it yet?

Is it because they haven't got one?

Where is Nigel Farage's Manifesto on which he will be campaigning for votes in the May election?

Why does Leaver Rees-Mogg keep voting against proposals for UK to leave the EU?

I do, that's why I asked if there was anything to prevent them from requesting registration because if there isn't (there wasn't) it's not gerrymandering (it isn't).
Unsurprisingly you obviously don't

Gerrymandering: May be used to help or hinder a particular demographic, such as a political, ethnic, racial, linguistic, religious, or class group establish a political advantage.

The clue is in the 'help or hinder' bit

Plenty of other examples:
Boundary changes
Individual voter registration
Poll Tax linked to electoral register
Arbitrary time limits for voting eligibility

Better luck next time (y)

If the government had the power to restrict EU immigration they would have done it years ago for one simple reason,it would be a massive vote winner.
Under the freedom of movement laws the UK cannot restrict EU nationals from entering the UK.
Under EU law the UK can put a temporary limit on EU nationals entering the country to look for work however the UK government would need the permission of the EU to impose any limits.
The idea that the UK could arbitrarily impose a limit on EU immigration is a fallacy put about by remainers who think that Leavers are really dim.
