New Orleans is in America.
America supports Israels war against Palestine.
A deranged ex soldier appears to have decided that Americans need to be punished for that support.
It isn't hard to see the link.
The bloke had obvious mental health issues and other problems in his life.
People like that tend to be susceptible to radicalisation.
Maybe he self radicalised by watching too many Youtube videos, the full story will come out eventually.

Years ago, watched a Jerry Springer type show from New York.
This old guy was telling the audience about how his brother had died in Auschwitz during the war.
On the other side of New York another old guy was watching his TV, he recognised the old guy as his brother.
He phoned the TV station and the next week he was brought on the show as a surprise guest, his brother had been invited back on the show and they were reunited.
Once all the tears of joy and hugging had stopped, the two brothers were asked what had happened that they became separated.
One brother said that after Liberation from the camps he enquired about his brother, he was told that his brother had died in Auschwitz and had been cremated, the second brother was told the same story at another camp.
Both brothers then eventually emigrated to America, the brothers were asked who told them the lie about Auschwitz, they said it was the Russian authorities who overran the camps.
Apparently it was common practice amongst the Russians to tell inquiring relatives the same story.
The Russians then put up a sign outside the camp claiming 4 million people had been murdered there.
They even managed to get the Pope to visit the site and pray for the 4 million.
The sign claiming 4 million dead was eventually taken down and replaced with another stating a figure for 1.1 million, the evidence for which is about as reliable as the evidence for 4 million.
