If you say so.
Carmen yes I do. Now have you served in a jury? simple question? The deliberation in the jury room is restricted everything else is in the public record.

So maybe you would like to answer the question? Have you ever served on or in a jury?

11 in the minimum otherwise you have a miss trial
9 is the minimum, but then it has to be a unanimous verdict.
A trial starts with twelve jurors
A jury trial will always start with twelve jurors.
The trial can’t start with fewer jurors.
There are many reasons, however, leading to a trial not always finishing with twelve. Jurors may become sick and be unable to return. In some rare cases they may be removed from a jury due to some misconduct during the trial. As long as the number of jurors does not fall below nine then a lawful verdict can be reached.

Moving on..

We have
Most people think it’s irrelevant.

A few forum idiots think it wasn’t 11.
Motorbiking resurrecting an old argument in which he was always going to be wrong.
He's tried to re-phrase the original question in order to make his comment correct. :giggle:
He now claims it's irrelevant, then tries to rephrase the question as to "what difference did it make to the verdict?"
...
Does it make any difference to the trial? No

Look there's some squirrels.

It's like shooting fish in a barrel...almost takes the sport out of it.

Selected does not matter the number you count is the individuals who retire to the Jury room to deliberate on the verdict. 11 gave a verdict from the jury Forman (woman) that is all that counts.
That's a different question to the original question.
And there were 12 for the vast majority of the proceedings. For over 9 months there were 12. For the last few remaining days there were 11.

How many jurors were there for the trial was the original assertion.
The question and answer was never how many jurors returned a verdict.

If the question was how many returned a verdict, the answer for all non-unanimous jury decisions would never be 12.

waiting for the forum idiots to get to the next page of the Act.
less than 11, there is a risk of a mistrial.
