Old Conservatives don't understand

The money from the sale from the houses far out weighed any benefit payments so we are quids in . I'm surprised you didn't look into that
the sale from the houses was less than the asset value ya muppet

"quids in" :ROFLMAO: :ROFLMAO: :ROFLMAO:

councils selling off houses that they owned and then paying out housing benefits which end up in the hands of private corporations does not make councils better off

If you think its great, why dont you sell your house to a landlord and then rent it from them

This shouldn't need explaining.

But its constant.

as usual gas is too cowardly to admit he is wrong

The UK now spends more on housing benefit than on most government departments

High private rents and stagnant wages mean housing benefit now costs £23.4bn a year.

Ha. So your houses do have value?
They are an investment

Your dishonesty is despicable.

You know, but try to hide, the fact that the poorest and most needy includes the homeless, the destitute, and those in substandard accommodation.

Who have little chance of attaining decent living conditions due to the shortage of social housing.

You know that it does not include those lucky enough to have a secure home, well-maintained and of a good standard.

Have you always resorted to deliberate dishonesty in your arguments?

Like the time you pretended to have seen a non-existent press release to bolster your misogynistic vendetta?

Just abuse then. No evidence to back up your argument.

Do it then. Sell the lot.

You'll be "quids in" (y)

The income in England from RTB since 2011 is about 9 billion pounds, the cost of housing benefit alone in 2015 was 26 billion pounds. They aren't even in the same ballpark...
Come on denso you can do better than that. How many households qualify for housing benefit vs those sold under right to buy. Ever.

In all its years only 2m homes have been sold under right to buy and the homes don’t disappear they are still there for people to live in

selling an asset is a one off

Paying out expensive housing benefit which ends up in the hands of private landlords is a constant expense.

I’ve already shown how councils can build new houses sell them under right to buy and have enough money to repeat the process.

What I’m so surprised at is why all the lefties get upset that such schemes exist.

Nobody helped me buy any of the houses and flats I own. Doesn’t mean I’m not ok with less well off people getting a bit of help

2.6 million on housing benefit

Housing benefit is one the most costly govt departments.

The homes disappear from the available pool of social housing.

As somebody who has an interest in finance you know the benefit of councils having owning council houses which are an asset rather than paying out huge housing benefit to private landlords.

It’s really not hard to work out….you just don’t want to admit it
