Old Conservatives don't understand

You could always prove your argument rather than being a troll

As somebody who has an interest in finance you know the benefit of councils having owning council houses which are an asset rather than paying out huge housing benefit to private landlords.

very noticeable that motorbiking is not keen on availability of social housing, but is very keen on a scheme that results in vast amounts of taxpayers money being handed out to private landlords

almost as if he is motivated by self interest.

I don’t rent to any social housing people. I’m also happy to share a redacted tax return if you’ll agree to do the same. We can then see who contributed more tax.

are you bragging about how rich you are again?

how frightfully vulgar.

I’m not the one against poorer people being helped to buy a house.

In what way is it detrimental to you and how does this effect you ?
it seems you have no concern for others.

nor the common good.

nor even the taxpayer.

just for yourself.

are you a Tory?

Or a Bra Baroness?

I wonder if motorbiking would be so supportive of the situation, if it was amended to "all existing rental properties shall be turned over to mssrs Fujitsu, Sodexho, and Mone.
You will be compensated at 50% of the current market value".

Why. When the council/government can easily make the scheme work not to mention housing needy people is what we pay taxes for.
But the houses got sold off and now the councils pay rent to private landlords.

Vicious circle

Stop the right to buy. Or make all landlords have to sell to those that qualify

So you shouldn't have a problem with rtb from any landlord

Paying out expensive housing benefit which ends up in the hands of private landlords is a constant expense.
As I’ve pointed out, private landlords are a necessity unfortunately for your narrative
