within that people have their OWN cultures.
Fair point about the figures. But it is still less than 2% of the total pre-war population. 2% unemployment is considered to be quite low in any economic situation.
I don't think the human losses during the war were the main reason for the increased immigration.

The hand-wringing, guardian reading pc brigade, eg Spacecrap, have done their best to let this country be a new islamic state. They are anarchists who want to shake things up, they don't give a toss about minorities. Its just a bandwagon that they have jumped on, and they compete with each other to see who can be the most offended. New labour encouraged anyone who disagreed with mass immigration to be labelled racist. People like Spacecrap have been brainwashed into this, and repeat it parrot fashion at the slightest hint of not following New Labour's diktat. They get their kicks as agitators. Quite sad really.

To stop the illegal immigrants - yes. It has been said here - remove whatever attracts them and they would stop coming. To stop the trend of muslimisation - probably not, at least during our lifetime.
As for the veil - it should be banned. Not only other European countries decided to do this, some universities in Syria and Egypt have forbidden the female students to cover their face while in the university premisses. Religion is one thing, fundamentalism is another, even the islamic countries recognize this.
