If you had twenty soldiers coming at you, but only one shoots. It certainly doesn't make the other 19 less dangerous.

And if you had 20 people coming at you and one of them had a Kalashnikov I think I'd know which one was the threat

Therein lies the problem, you can't see the potential threat, only someone with a gun causing grief.

ICM Poll found 20% of British muslims sympathised with the London bombings. Another poll found 40% wanted sharia law in the UK. These aren't just a few here and there.

Agreed - so what you want to do alienates all 1.6 UK Muslims.

Do you really believe that will help to isolate the radicals?

Back to the earlier question

Do you:

1) Drive a wedge between radical Muslims and the rest of society
or
2) Drive a wedge between all Muslims and the rest of society

What about the wedge(s) they are driving between society?

Only they hold the key to unlock the problem, unfortunately the majority of them throughout Europe are keeping very quiet on the subject.

I don't think we can do anything. It's gone too far. I just think people should realise that a very large percentage of this faith are nasty fookers and stop pretending they are all very nice chaps and the odd ones that shoot people aren't really muslim. That Portillo fella pointed out on the show after question time last night that these shooters practise the religion devoutly, keep shouting about "Alans snackbar" and deliberately shoot people who take the wee out of mohamad yet someone always pops up and says "oh no they're not muslims". Whats wrong with recognizing that out of all major religions this one is the major ****stain on the planet?

Well to be honest, the majority of the posts on here are not exactly talking about cohesion and fostering an atmosphere where moderates feel confident in expressing any opinion.

I've seen plenty of Muslims on TV and on the web condemning the Paris killings.

Martin and Gerry use to condemn ira attacks and then behind the scenes its business as usual. Nothing new.

I have seen a few, but they are without doubt a tiny insignificant minority.

Modern, moderate Muslims all over the world, particularly those living in secure environments, must speak out more to denounce and further isolate the extremist elements.

newboy,

How many lives have to be taken in host countries, before even the do-gooders stop embracing Islamic followers and wake up to the threat of tomorrow.???

How many lives???

This is just the beginning.

It would have been hundreds more and possibly thousands if security services hadn't thwarted their plans.
