More gobbledegook.
Endorsed by his apprentice i see..

Did you believe David Blaine when he said it was magic or an illusion, your eyes are telling you one thing, your mind is dismissing it as impossible, because you don't know? Sometimes it's quite simple when you actually realise.

Hence my comment, people can have similarities in thought process, you've heard of social engineering of course, they naturally group and relate, it's happening here on these forums, the danger being you reinforce your own reasoning, not always 'right' though. Anyway... as you were, it's all gobbledegook.

I think maybe you do/don't realise i occasionally struggle to tolerate judgemental sanctimonious hypocrites. I'm sure alot of you here if we were all in the same physical room wherever in the world that may be would be very different in how you would address eachother. I was listening to an MP today talking about how anonymity enables people to be overtly opinionated threatening unpleasant and rude without any recompense. It happens alot on here too.

5mins ive been told and im off to cry into my cocktail ;) so im here for a bit more.

Yes, I have watched Curtis' documentaries and quoted/linked extracts several times.

Do you think the likes of Festive would believe it?

Unfortunately not.

As Curtis points out - they have created their own reality.

What has that got do do with you writing drivel and being told that it is drivel?

Festy Word Salad. Impossible to unpack that. I believe this is one of Festy disciples.

6m 10 in. The state of politicians.

there Isn’t a main stream party proposing to do away with state benefits. Nobody is proposing to scrap the NHS, public education etc. I think what is being misunderstood in this thread, is some believe you should strive not to be a net benefiter and design a system that does not encourage others to be net receivers. We can’t all take out more than we put in.

As this election campaign pans out we will see some arguing that the vast majority can get more out at the expense of a very few.

Unless you are a corporate or rich individual...

At the expense of the vast majority!

there Isn’t a main stream party proposing to do away with state benefits.
Some however want to further reduce them...

Nobody is proposing to scrap the NHS, public education etc.
Some refuse to deny the ongoing privatisation of the NHS will be continued, and the UK education system is already effectively privatised...

Slowly slowly, catchee monkey ;)

Seems to be a mix of jealousy and paranoia. I can think of quite a few conservative policies that have taxed the rich to benefit the poor.

Missing the point. The issue is using private companies to provide public services that end up costing more and delivering less. How many billions have been wasted on the Academies which are now privately owned with many holding onto large surpluses? The money wasted at Hinchingbroke Hospital privatisation due to the idiotic rules on bringing in competition, or the Virgin healthcare provision problems.

Again - net benefiter is some real childish analysis looking at it on an individual level. Your contributions ebb and flow over time where in your early life and late life you will be a net consumer, however this needs to be balanced out against the needs of the country. In times of recession there is a rise in the number of net consumers so the Government role is to increse demand to reduce the effects of recession.

The poor do not benefit the rich? Where does all the aggregate demand for the services the rich provide come from?

The idea that the rich support the poor is only one side of the coin and very naive/neo liberal way of thinking.

Nevertheless the Conservatives have done well to increase poverty.

Lots of increase in terms of in work poverty, increase in food banks, lots if decrease in benefits to those with disabilities and mental health issues.

Plenty of examples of people that have lost their jobs due to illness being left pennyless due to universal credit.
Huge reduction in services overall.

Balance that with the real increase in wealth at the top end.

The problems are real and current......but they only exist if you want to see them.
Google 'PIP assessment issues' - if you want to see the cruelty inflicted by this government.

I lean mostly towards the right, but I cant stand this right wing neo liberal toxic atmosphere created by this government.
We need a society that supports the weak and vulnerable.

Private companies can often deliver better services because they have to compete to win. They have to be able to do it better and cheaper. The state Provider often has no completion so no incentive to improve. Just armies of internal consultants shadowed by external consultants being supervised by other consultants. All wasting tax payers money. Some services are better performed by the state but that does not mean aspects can’t be outsourced.

I think record low unemployment is a pretty good way of keeping people earning enough to feed themselves.

Private companies can often deliver better services

And often they can deliver a worse service at higher cost and export their profits to avoid paying UK tax.

As you know, some utilities and railway companies are publicly owned, and make handsome profits for the benefit of the taxpayer. However, since they are owned by foreign governments, it's the foreign taxpayer that benefits, and the British taxpayer that pays.

It's interesting to see that the citizens of the UK are less than certain of the benefits of privatisation in all cases.

Who owns your local water company, and how much UK corporation tax does it pay?

Here's an example to get you started.

Thames Water is majority owned by foreign state investors.
