protestors holding up ordinary people

I regard Billy-Boy Winsor a hypocrite
"Prince William revealed that he talks to his children all the time about the environment and says getting them out playing in nature is a priority"

As they stepped on to the helicopter yet again ;)

That was not the decision.
"From 6 April 2026, the full 100% relief from inheritance tax will be restricted to the first £1 million of combined agricultural and business property.

Above this amount, landowners will access 50% relief from inheritance tax and will pay inheritance tax at a reduced effective rate up to 20%, rather than the standard 40%"

You must be thinking about the bit where more than one person owns the farm getting a higher allowance.

It is the farm that is to be taxed separately.

All owners get the same personal allowance.

Much more generous than the handouts to the owner of a chain of pie shops or a woolen mill.

In addition to the nil-rate band, making 1.325 mill.

And even more if it's a FAMILY farm left to a child or grandchild.

In many cases £3mill

And then only paying half the tax of the rest of us.

It's the multimillionaires and billionaires who are moaning
And trying to get their shills to stir up sympathy.

Handouts to the rich need to be reduced.

 how much IHT have you or will you expect to pay? Is is zero?

Half of “the rest of us”. Hilarious.
As an ordinary person, the usual rate of 40% on whatever exceeds my allowance.

If my estate was £3million, a lot more than a farming family on the same amount.

However I will not pay it, as I will be gone.

Zero you mean. yet again moaning about how much tax others "get away with paying" while paying exactly none himself.

They use the produce of farms...

If the farms get sold on to 'big business', history tells us their costs will rise.

Of course many farmers may just sell up to developers and that's another nail in the food security coffin!

How much will you pay on your estate on your death ?
I would have preferred those who left me money had spent it and had many more years than they got. In my case my children and partner would get quite f***ed if I died tomorrow, Same if their mum dies.

In her case, assuming she leaves it to the kids. The IHT tax bill would be around £900k.

I'm sure you are able to take steps to reduce some of that.
