Liberated or Russia just pulled back never really intending to go any further unless maybe citizens of Kiev just came out and said welcome - highly unlikely in Kiev.

No they just say civilians that have been shot. It's hard for them to know about circumstances or what they were doing at the time. They say they will be interviewing people. They are likely to be viewed as war crimes. Around 20 people mentioned.

Maybe 1. I'm not sure. White cloth on one wrist.

Russia has hit a refinery and storage in Odessa. Ukraine say vile practice of hitting infrastructure. Ukraine also managed to hit a high rise in Donbas with a rocket. War crime maybe? They also killed a few civilians with another. Don't get me wrong but all wars involve them.

President of the EU council has used the word massacre over the incident  in Bucha

also reports in the “I” of sexual assault / rape ????

A lady that was interviewed mentioned stories of Russian soldiers raping women.

Go back to much earlier when Donbas control was pushed back this sort of area is why some groups were declared as being terrorists due to possible atrocities. There were several groups. Now united.

The mass grave ;) for when you come across that looks to be a trench that has been part filled in.

Also mention of explosive mobile phone and laptops being left around. Would Russia do that? There would be more sense in that when Ukraine was driven out. Also mines, either side might lay those.

Out of interest a Russian military many mentioned increasing the production rate of precision missiles. Maybe they expect to use a lot more. Stock wise they are thought to have held more than any other single country so doubt if they have run out.

No a lady stated she had been repeatedly raped after her husband was shot dead ???

factual or not ??? True or not ???

time will tell ??

the Russian army have a history of it

as did the Japanese armed forces in the rape of nanking (?) in China ?

i thought I'd try BBC's Unsprung world. A military man was on. He explained what he expected which is seen as the flaw in Russian military. A combined attack, Troops, aircraft, drones, precision weapons and electronic counter measures. Suppose this could be called Iraq style. Also that Russia spread it's troops too thinly. The conversation then shifted to Mariupol where he explained why it would be rather hard to capture it with troops and other general problems all over. Gorilla tactics, street fighting and armed civilians plus their army.

;) Go buy your cooking oil stock quickly. Uk and elsewhere running out of sun flower oil which is used in all sorts of things so prices of all oils rocketing and manufacturers are trying to find alternatives. :) It could go like bog rolls and covid so help empty the shelves.

I've not heard it. BBC or Al other than what I mentioned - had heard stories, her choice of words. The Chechens are thought to be hardest to control. I have seen both types. One shooting a bazooka with what sounded like a god is great shout on the Ukrain side. The other type, Russian side shooting at a building, machine gun single handed. Also a division of them helping elderly and children out of a building.

C4 and AlJ have interviewed a few out of Mariupol that do not follow the usual comments from Ukrainians we hear. One said that Zelensky says they are all hero's. She says no, there is fighting, looting, stealing and all sort and they are not supporting each other. Another said he was a nationalist initially.

What too believe. Pass. I have noticed some rather rusty tanks. Like that far too quickly. Also ones with V on which suggest Belarus is still involved but not mentioned.

Oh forgot. There may be a move to throw Russia out of the WTO. Some seem to feel that this isn't a good idea.

There is a big question about what it will do. Some feel that there will be definite attempts to get around the trading USD
The Dollar as the worlds number 1 reserve currency is under threat due its weaponisation as a tool of coercion by the sleepy Joe administration.
To be a successful reserve currency requires the global public to have confidence in it.
If governments around the world lose confidence in the dollar because they believe it could be used to target them in the event of a dispute with America or its allies, then they may look for an alternative.

The Dollar as the worlds number 1 reserve currency

Most countries have reserves and there is likely to be several currencies. The UK's can be found on the web. China
The total of the reserves is regularly announced by the central bank. In July 2020, China's reserves totaled US$3,150 billion, which is the highest foreign exchange reserves of any country, apparently more than twice the size of next country. In August 2021, the reserves stood at US$3,408 billion.

Looks like the IMF claim more at the end of 2021 and give a currency breakdown. May be a different way of counting reserves - foreign exchange. Pass.

Euro holdings seem to be significant over all but USD on top and not much GBP.

Bitcoin etc make a lot of this area but when the value of the different ones settles it's more like share and money dealing to make money. The USA have talked about banning them. Seems India has set a tax rate on profits from them. I suspect if they ever go big time govs will do something. It's possible to loose a lot due to fraud and sudden collapses.

Given the evidence of war crimes coming out of previously Russian held areas in Ukraine, I have nothing but absolute disdain for anyone shilling for Russia at this point. I can't say fully what I think of them here cos I'd probably cop a ban.
