were never immigrants in the accepted meaning of the word.
They were at best involuntary immigrants or slaves for want of a better word.

There must be some kind of inherent way of differentiating between ex-slaves, and voluntary immigrants in modern day USA.

That's an easy question to answer. If they come to this country with little money, they start at the bottom of the ladder. There is alot to learn when your new to a country.
They are invited here to serve the likes of you and me because they do the jobs you and I won't.
They stay at the bottom of the ladder because the likes of you encourage more immigrants to flood the market of labour.

When there is an endless supply of labour there is not a need for companies to up the wages.

Are you suggesting that Vinty's opinion was ill-informed, because according to you, immigrants remain at the bottom of the social hierarchy through no fault of their own.

Is it not the case that all immigrant groups in any country always start off disadvantaged but after a few generations move up the socio/economic scale to better things.
The Roman Catholic Irish in America or the Jews in the East end of London.
These groups are now in the top tier of society in their respective countries.

Immigation is necessary sometimes to fill gaps in the labour market, however uncontrolled immigration can become a threat to social order and damage the incomes and quality of life of certain groups in society.
In general liberal middle class Guardian reader types like the idea of a pool of cheap labour being available because they hated having to pay working class plumbers, electricians and other associated trades a decent wage.
The other group are those Tories who want to turn Britain into some sort of 3rd world sweatshop economy.
A true socialist would want to see immigration strictly regulated in order to protect wage levels of vulnerable groups in society.
Therefor it is quite reasonable for any working person to be against mass uncontrolled immigration.

You are dreaming up theories to suit your bigoted ideology.
Each time your dreamed up explanation for one incidence in society is refuted with examples of obvious evidence disproving your theories, you jump to some other dreamed up theory to explain the irrationality of your first dreamed up theory.

Let us recap:
You started by claiming that anti racists only exist to foster resentment and division.
But when your theory was likened to the same argument proffered by thieves to excuse their thieving, you switched to another of your theories.

You also referred to Dr Sewell's comment about Black Africans performing educationally better than Black Afro-Caribbeans. This was explained.

So you jumped to contending that immigrants quickly move up the socio-economic ladder. You quoted two white groups of immigrants as your evidence.
When this was questioned with obvious comparisons to Black people, you switched to suggesting that ex-slaves were somehow different to voluntary immigrants, without recognising that the difference in the colour of their skin was an obvious factor.

You then switched to suggesting that genes of Black people were somehow changed.
Which you then changed to psychological conditioning.

Now you've switched to trying to explain inequality from an economic perspective.

Why not be true to yourself, and admit that you are just trying desperately to justify your bigotry?

Im answering you not Vinty. Yes I do believe some remain at the bottom of the social hierarchy through no fault of their own.
Lots of Immigrants think the streets of London & Paris are pathed with gold.... You know they are not, yet you still encourage immigrants to serve you and otgers to exploit them. And live in cramped poor rented conditions.
