Rape gangs. Why does the Home Office minister not want a national public enquiry?

I found them in EVERY supermarket on EVERY day
Gosh you did well visiting 32,012 supermarkets all on one day.

A supermarket CEO or Mottie……..who knows more about food supply chains?

Here is what a Supermarket CEO says to The Grocer (“industry bible on retail and wholesale)

Attempts to diversify post-Brexit supply chains by sourcing fresh produce from outside the EU have exacerbated the fruit & veg supply crisis, a supermarket CEO has revealed.

Speaking to The Grocer, the CEO suggested the “massive” shift to cheaper sources outside the EU since the UK’s departure – particularly via north Africa – had hit supply chain resilience.

And that is a positive outcome of Brexit? Did you not have any tomatoes before then?
That’s the only thing I was worried about before casting my vote. Turned out my fears were unfounded. I’m so glad I didn’t listen to the naysayers.

So, as far as tomatoes go, the Brexit bonus is that nothing has changed? I hadn't thought of that...

Amazing how all the supermarket chiefs and the trade press report it but it hasn't affected you or your area.

But I still don't see any bonus if things are the same as before (they aren't)
Yep, feck all's changed except we ain’t paying millions to the EU, can’t stay over there more than 90 days in every 180 (who'd want to?) and they’re not free to pitch up here, work and abuse our health/education/housing etc services. On the other hand, we will soon have to pay nearly £2 a year for a visa to visit the EU….

if that's all you can see, fair enough

Mottie knows Brexit has done and continues to do considerable damage…..but the poor chap is so deep down the hole he has to keep telling himself everything is fine

Poor old Mottie even denies that Brexit red tape doesn’t cost way more than membership.

Let me remind Mottie of non tariff barriers:

Rules of origin checks
ATA carnets
restrictions on cabotage
sanitary and phytosanitary controls
transit documents
customs declarations.

It’s not even a tariff free trade deal

U.K. used to have a frictionless trade ares of $17trillion
Brexit U.K. now has a frictionless trade area of $2.8 trillion

Many many businesses have moved from U.K. to inside the single market

Poor poor Mottie can’t allow facts into his head…..they would eat his brain

Thanks for the reminder. Now tell me how that actually affects you or me apart from having our passports stamped when we go on holiday.

Prices and dates on products is a daily thing
Trick is, buy them with the longest date (from the back of the shelf) and eat them before the 'use by' date. It’s not hard, I’ve been doing it since I started buying my own shopping over 40 years ago. There’s nothing I buy in my weekly shop that will be out of date before I’ve eaten it.

Prices - that’s called inflation and all countries suffer with that. Dates? Can you give me some examples how this date thing affects you personally?

This is literally all I have left in my fridge from last weeks shopping that has a 'use by' date on it. This weeks food shop will be done tomorrow.

If you want to use your argument….how did being an EU member affect your life in any way?
