Herd Community was another 'Option' of which the medical experts initially suggested had some merit. It was never govt strategy as the modelling flagged up that the number of deaths would be 250,000 so they made the change to close all communal venues. Modelling/death rates will continue to drive the government's strategy which will probably be mandatory social distancing due to many people ignoring advice.

You keep bringing up the 'Cummings Plan', but its the medical/scientific experts who are driving the strategy. Media is just flagging up Cummings comments/observations of the expert's findings.

Stop being an idiot, read your own link. It says 'Cummings became convinced that herd immunity' etc, yes he was convinced by medical experts. The plan was changed when it became clear what numbers were involved, and fair play to Boris and Cummings for that.
